The Rolling Sculpture Car Club will be holding its annual Charity Car Show on Saturday, August 12th, 2017. All proceeds to support Local, Bow Valley Charity’s.
This year we are changing our format a little. We are partnering with the Sheepdog Lodge. Sheepdog Lodge is a fully hosted free of charge rustic log cabin retreat that provides family health and support to veteran/first responders by providing a safe environment where the mental health of veterans/first responders and their families can be strengthened through retreat, recreation, nature, family memory-making times, and great hospitality, food, and fellowship with other sheepdogs. The Lodge Hosts are volunteer peers (veteran or first responder) of the same occupation and who “speaks the same occupational language.”
Also this year we are partnering with the Bow Valley Food Bank. We are asking people who attend the show to bring a non-perishable food item as a donation and to help out our community and ensure everyone has food for their table.
As in the prior 14 years, we will also be supporting Children’s Charities in the Bow Valley. These Children’s Charities are the reason for the inception of the Annual Car Show
We are looking to have a strong showing of cars and motorcycles from all walks of life this year at our usual downtown venue in Centennial Park. For people who wish to stay in Canmore overnight or for the weekend, please check the hotel section on the right side of our webpage. The hotels marked with a (P) indicates that they have Parkade Parking available. Our show is on grass so to speak with a wonderful view of the Lawrence Grassi, Ha Ling and Rundle Mountains that are breathtaking on a clear sunny day.
Kind of like Car Guy Heaven don’t you think?………….Anyway back to the show.
We will be providing grab bags till they run dry, with lots of giveaways and entertainment. Our sponsors will have displays available as well as a food vendor(s), and ample bathroom facilities will be onsite. There is also a children’s playground within the park and nice shade trees close by.
All in all, it is a wonderful afternoon tucked into the Eastern Slopes of the Rockies surrounded by like minded people and a very good viewing crowd. So join us in our 15th Year of Celebrating the Automobile, and its Owner.
We look forward to meeting you again and for the first time.
